Marketing Coordinator or Specialist, E&I

Orrick currently has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Specialist who is ready to be challenged within an AmLaw 50 law firm. This position will support broad business development efforts for the Energy & Infrastructure (E&I) sector firmwide. This position will be located in either the San Francisco, New York, DC or Houston office.

Your Responsibilities: The primary role is to assist assigned practice group lawyers and marketing colleagues with the efficient, effective and integrated execution of strategic activities that support Orrick's firm wide business development goals.

  • Coordinate research, analysis and monitoring of financial, technological and demographic factors to support new market opportunities for leveraging service offerings.
  • Coordinate E&I collateral materials and experience database content in support of targeted pitches, proposals and PR opportunities.
  • Maintain an acute level of quality control to ensure all communications are consistent and error-free.
  • Team with colleagues across the marketing and sales departments, as well as the broader firm in support of strategic, market-facing opportunities.
  • Assist with all aspects of internal and external marketing events in collaboration with events team.
  • Assist with regular updates to (and creation of) content for practice-related materials, including client, prospect and industry dossiers, Orrick.com, internal practice group portal pages, client alerts, etc.
  • Assist with the collection and tracking of data for league table reporting and directory submissions.
  • Use of the firm's social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, hosted video, etc.) to promote E&I-related content and practice developments.

Job Requirements:
  • College degree, focus in marketing or communications a plus.
  • One to four years of experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.

  • Excellent computer skills necessary; high proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as strong ability to navigate online platforms and databases.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills and a high level of attention to detail.

  • Accepts accountability and effectively communicates project status and adheres to deadlines.

  • Action-oriented, intellectually sharp, capable and agile.

  • Highly productive and flexible with ability to handle fast-paced, high-demand environment.

  • Maintains a "can-do" attitude and takes appropriate initiative.

  • Able to coordinate multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments.

  • Strong communications skills and commitment to teamwork.

  • Builds rapport well amongst colleagues at all levels of the firm and is a good listener.
