General Overview


This position supports the financial operations to achieve timely closing and effective financial operations with efficiency and integrity. This position is responsible for leading the various Corporate Financial Planning teams through month-end and year end closings; requires coordination between various finance teams outside of Corporate Financial Planning as well. The manager will identify potential enhancements including gathering business requirements and perform business, system and financial analysis.  Initially assisting in the process designs necessary to support the closing cycles Globally as well as data conversions from a single entity to multiple entities.  You will have the opportunity to work regularly with other Financial Services departments and various business areas across Rotary. Your contribution will allow for streamlining of the closing cycles, and for timely production of Financial and Managerial reporting.



 


You Will Have



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required

  • CPA certification preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in complex Not-for-Profit and or Global organizations;

  • Experience in managing projects and process improvement.

  • Experience with Rotary is a plus



 


You Are Good At



  • Understanding of relational databases similar to Oracle ERP, EPBCS or EBS and how data flows;

  • Knowledge in various reporting tools such as query, SmartView, Hyperion, OTBI and BI Publisher;

  • Experience in system testing and documentation of the same;

  • Experience in developing business processes with appropriate controls;

  • Experience in developing job training guides, policy and procedure documentation and change control documents;

  • Ability to train in person or off-site;

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and problem-solving independently;

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task with assignments and problems in a complex and fast paced environment or under pressure;

  • Demonstrates sound judgement when necessary;

  • Demonstrates enthusiastic customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively;

  • Experience or familiarity with software modules of SAP, PeopleSoft, SmartSimple, Oracle Cloud ERP (GL, Fixed Assets and Projects), EPBCS (Financial and workforce planning) and MS Office Suite;

  • Ability to perform analytics especially Excel modeling.

  • Experience with the difference between US GAAP and International Accounting Standards including Tax implications.



 


You Are Open To



  • Travel limited travel to International Offices (<10% of time)



You Will Be Responsible For



  • Providing oversight or manage system processes within Oracle ERP and EPBCS, by working with the appropriate business areas, locally and/or globally, to ensure closing deadlines; 

  • Monitoring system for errors and exceptions, working with appropriate business groups, locally and globally, to ensure timely resolution;

  • Establishing and monitoring processes to ensure synchronization of data and reporting structures between Oracle ERP and EPBCS;

  • Identifying and eliciting process and/or procedural improvements and using project management skills, working with the appropriate business areas both locally and globally, and planning and executing the improvements.

  • Identifying and eliciting reporting needs or process improvements reduce business partners issues;

  • Participating in the testing of new processes or new functionality as necessary;

  • Managing, maintaining and communicating training materials, policies, procedures, and change control documentation.  Conducting training of new staff, locally and globally on the same;

  • Reviewing security access rights on a recurring basis for Oracle ERP and EPBCS ensuring where possible the segregation of duties.
