SUMMARY

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate. Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained. Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.

• Preventive maintenance of all equipment in the plant.
• Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets and water fountains.
• Purchases supplies, equipment and materials necessary to complete projects.
• Assembles and moves furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs.
• Perform electrical checks periodically.
• Painting touchup work on the building periodically.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Coordinate with external agencies for maintenance of safety equipment and electrical works.
• Keep stream clean and free of debris.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Keep area around the building clean and free of debris.
• Check lighting and replace bulbs when necessary.
• Clean outside windows.
• Maintain chemical spill kits, showers and eye wash.
