Litigation - Employment Managing Associate

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP
Multiple Offices Work Remotely

What you need to know:  Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the commencement of employment. Applicants who wish to apply for a medical, religious accommodation or any other accommodation required under applicable law can do so later in the process (accommodations are not guaranteed and are decided on a case-by-case basis).

Orrick is looking for a Managing Associate with 4 to 6 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in any of its California offices (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento).  Responsibilities would include working on high profile complex employment litigation cases, systemic discrimination wage and hour class actions, counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues, and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters.  The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, and creative with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.  The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility to work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

For the seventh year in a row, Orrick is one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, the annual list that recognizes companies with extraordinary workplace cultures. Additionally, Orrick has been recognized as the Most Innovative Law Firm in North America three years in a row (Financial Times) and Technology Group of the Year (Legal360).

Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for the position in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
