The School of Social Work located in the College of Social Sciences seeks a Lecturer to serve as Program Director for its Everett community-based Master of Social Work program. The position is a 50% time, 9-month per year special faculty appointment, plus summer appointment based on program need.

The position is located on the campus of the University Center at the WSU Building in Everett, WA and reports to the Chair/Director of the School of Social Work at the Cheney campus.

Eastern Washington University is a growing and dynamic public university co-located in Cheney and Spokane with an enrollment of over 10,000 students and offers over 100 degree programs including baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. The School of Social Work is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and includes full-time BASW and MSW programs, and part-time BASW and MSW programs located at sites throughout Washington State. The School also includes the Center for Aging Studies, Addiction Studies, Children's Studies and the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP), a statewide training and educational partnership with the University of Washington and the Washington Children's Department of Children and Family Services.

The School of Social Work offers diversity and breadth in programs, including full-time BASW and MSW programs, part-time BASW and MSW programs offered at sites throughout Washington State, plus specialized programs through our Center for Aging Studies, Disability Studies, as well as the Addiction Studies Program. The programs prepare students for generalist and advanced generalist social work practice in both rural and urban communities. Eastern Washington University School of Social Work is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Job Responsibilities:

The Director of the Everett part-time hybrid MSW program is the on-site program administrator and teaches courses on-site and online. The Director implements the policies and procedures for part-time programs, as well as policies and procedures for the MSW for the School of Social Work. The Director works with the Director/Chair of the School of Social Work, Graduate Program Director, Undergraduate Program Director (if applicable), and the Director of Field Education to ensure part-time program compliance with the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the EWU College of Social Sciences, and Eastern Washington University.

The position reports to the Director/Chair of the School of Social Work and works in partnership with the Graduate Program Director on curriculum matters and with the Director of Field Education on matters of field/practicum education. The position supervises the program support staff at the Everett site.
