System Architect

The job is in the hardware group of Xilinx reporting to the VP of hardware architecture and verification. This key role is central to the definition, development and productization of board level products built around Xilinx All-Programmable silicon


Scope of work:

  • Work with product planning in defining the board level product specifications

  • Work with the operations group in selection of EMS, overall board product costs

  • Work with board engineering team in ensuring state of the art design methodologies, component selection

  • Work with sales and marketing teams in engaging with key customer accounts

  • This role will own the board level product architecture specification

  • Wide understanding of hardware and software architecture  for HPC, Machine learning, NIC implementation in PCI-e Card

  • Strong understanding to drive Silicon FPGA architecture to fulfil the target performance of the next generation of PCI-e  card for HPC, Machine learning, NIC applications and Autonomous driving

  • Defining the architecture and design topology of PCI-e  card (power, PCIe-, Optical, memory interface) to have a successful enablement and wide acceptance in different system level

  • Establishing architecture metric of the performances vs cost

  • Developing roadmap to link Si and Packaging roadmap with  next generations of PCI-e Card #ey






BS or MS with 15 years of relevant experience

  • Must have relevant experience in the design, development and productization of high volume board level products in the datacenter

  • Must have experience interacting with high volume EMS and CMs

  • Must have experience with high volume, low cost PCIE card design

  • Must have experience in technical leadership and mentoring of design teams

  • Experience in shipping to and interacting with hyperscale customers is highly desired
