Amgen is seeking a Labeling Vendor Management Manager to join our team and work from Amgen's beautiful Thousand Oaks, CA campus. To learn more:

The Labeling Vendor Management Manager reporting into the Head of Labeling Performance and Vendor Management, will direct and oversee Labeling Vendors, governance and metrics to enhance compliance and continuously improve performance of the E2E global labeling vendors. Provide strategic leadership on global labeling process improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for providing strategic guidance & periodic updates to senior management on Labeling vendor and outsourcing, including data and insights for quarterly updates.

Responsibilities
  • Selection of new suppliers
    • Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop and review RFI and RFP questions and suppliers' responses.
    • Review new supplier capabilities
    • Perform risk analysis of suppliers
  • Project lead for new activities/projects based on the company and department priorities (outsourced activities and/or processes)
    • Partner with stakeholders to identify activities/processes and plan activities and processes based on business needs.
    • Point of contact to facilitate communication between Amgen stakeholders and vendor
    • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer between internal staff and supplier staff
    • Provide support during transitional state
  • Perform oversight of suppliers
    • Establish oversight aligned with governance framework to ensure the supplier performance meets Amgen's contractual specification
    • Attend and lead vendor governance meetings as required (e.g. FMT, PIPE)
    • Ensure required metrics are captured and reported by vendors in a timely manner
  • Administrative management
    • Own Amgen SharePoint sites used for coordinating or requesting services with outsourcing partners; update user access, permissions and workflows and add features/functionality as required
  • Forecast volume and budget annually
    • Draft, review, and approve new SOW for new suppliers or updates to SOW for new activities in partnership with stakeholders
    • Manage billing and invoices
  • Thought leader on industry best practices
  • Leading large or more complex global labeling projects
  • Analyze, resolve and escalate issues to senior leadership


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 3 years of Global Labelling or Regulatory Affairs experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Global Labelling or Regulatory experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Global Labelling or Regulatory experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Global Labelling or Regulatory experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in industry in support of Global Labelling, Regulatory, Quality Management/Quality Engineering
  • Accomplish business results through teams/ability to influence without direct authority
  • Proficiency in anticipating and resolving problems
  • Ability to develop relationships and work well with others in demanding situations with a positive attitude demonstrating tact, diplomacy and respect

  • Flexibility to accommodate regular and ad-hoc meetings across time zones
  • This role may require international travel at a minimum of 1 to 3 times a year
