Description **Job Description:**



The **Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) Learning & Leadership Development (L&LD)** team is seeking an **L&LD Consultant I** to support the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management organization. The role is a center of excellence consultant who will interface with the L&LD Consultant Client Managers across GWIM to deliver on critical internal leadership, learning, performance management, and organization development programs and processes. This role will collaborate with business and HR Leaders to develop business-specific leadership and organizational effectiveness solutions. This role is a critical position with responsibility for ensuring achievement of key business outcomes through the utilization of impactful and proven leadership, learning and organization development solutions. Applicants must have experience working in large, complex, global organizations; ideally in the financial industry.



Key responsibilities include:



+ Consults, coordinates and executes core L&LD processes and programs in alignment with LOB needs. Most notably, will help support the Market Executive Leadership Academy which is a key program for building the pipeline of senior leaders in Merrill Lynch

+ Sends communications, monitors L&LD mailboxes and accountable for responding to associates questions and requests, providing prompt follow up

+ Acts as a project manager for activities within the program team; creates and maintains project plan, program enrollment and completions

+ Assist in the analysis, scoping and assessment of business or global L&LD solutions

+ Work with LD client managers to identify opportunities, strategies and solutions that are directly linked to organizational and business goals

+ Partner with L&LD colleagues and business partners to drive performance improvement initiatives.

+ Build strong relationships to partner effectively with a variety of constituents (HR partners, Talent Acquisition, finance, and others) in building integrated people processes

+ Work closely with learning specialists and designers to /drive overall talent development strategy and implement key leadership development processes and programs

+ Identify, develop and lead the implementation of multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with competing priorities

+ Some travel may be required



Key skills/experiences sought for the role include:



+ Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree in relevant areas helpful (e.g., Organization Development, Organization Behavior, I/O Psychology, etc.)

+ 3+ years of project management, preferably in HR analytics, learning, or reporting

+ Has program management experience and been responsible for delivering development solutions, with an orientation to high touch, executive level participants

+ Applicants MUST have experience working in large, complex, global organizations, preferably in the financial industry

+ Ability to navigate in a highly complex, matrixed organization and operate effectively in an often ambiguous environment

+ Relationship management skills including the ability to communicate and influence at the senior leader level

+ Performance consulting skills including the ability to identify performance gaps by asking the right questions

+ Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, facilitation, client service orientation, leadership, influence, teamwork and collaboration

+ Familiarity with learning strategy and solutions



Desired skills:



+ Strongly prefer LD/OD or Learning experience combined with program management experience

+ Strongly prefer individuals with experience supporting or working in Investment Management
