Join our growing Project Management team! Compu Dynamics has an opening for a Junior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager in Northern Virginia.

Essential Functions:

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.

1. Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.

2. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.

3. Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.

4. Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.

5. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.

6. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.

7. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.

8. Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.

9. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

10. Communicates and follows up with PM and clients about specific project objectives and deliverables

11. Assists with preparing contract agreements and purchase orders

12. Assist with preparing submittals and requests for information

13. Assists in preparing written estimates for clients based on labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts and other expenses

14. Assists in obtain all necessary permits as directed by PM

15. Ability to review drawings and specifications to become familiar with the project.

16. Work with the PM to identify long lead times and critical path items then assist in tracking items to completion

17. Visit project sites to evaluate progress and to respond to clients concerns or questions

18. Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need

19. Communicates with site superintendents about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients and the project team

20. Perform Quality Control assessment site visits and surveys and prepare associated report and identify any deficiencies.

21. Responsible for maintaining an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship

22. Drives throughout service area while following all local laws

23. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment
