Position Summary: The IT Intern/Associate will work directly with the PetroTechnical team, which is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and developing systems and databases that facilitate the usage of Engineering, Geoscience, and Enterprise GIS at Range Resources. The candidate will be responsible for completing projects as well as assisting with daily tasks and end user support. Projects may include updating and maintaining software; documenting business and IT related processes; and assisting with testing and development of data workflows.

THIS POSITION WILL BE PART TIME AND YEAR-ROUND - Candidate must have the ability to work approximately 15- 20 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage upgrades and license usage of engineering software products.
• Provide assistance and work with vendors on issues.
• Assist users with data integration.
• Provide basic technical support and expertise to the user community.
• Responsible for gathering and writing system and business requirements.
• Create data flow diagrams to assist with solution development.
• Depending on level of experience, work with the Data Management team on SSIS package design and assist in OVS data mapping and report design.
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Degree: Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), or related degree, such as Computer Science, Analytics, or Data Management. Prefer students that have completed their sophomore year, maintaining a 3.0+ GPA, with demonstrated expertise from on-the-job experience or school related initiatives/projects.

Preferred technical skills/knowledge: The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of software packages, data manipulation, relational databases, introduction to machine learning or statistics and exhibit strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.

Familiarity with RDBMS, Excel, database analysis, SQL programming, SSIS, PowerBI, Python or C# programming, data analytics or other programming skills are a plus. Aptitude for learning new technologies and skills is essential.
