This combination Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) / Organizational Development (OD) role will report to the Executive Director, HR for Corporate Functions and will split their time between partnering with the leaders for the Results Delivery Office (RDO) and Strategy, Commercialization, and Innovation (SC&I) to support their organizational and team needs as a HR Business Partner, as well as spending a significant amount of time acting in an Organizational Development capacity to provide strategic counsel, design, implement and sustain a capability build, training and development program for the Global Program General Manager (GPGM) community directly connected to our Commercialization efforts. This role works closely with functional and regional HR leadership to ensure future development programs and processes are sustainable, globally scalable, and support the organization's growth strategies. This individual will also work directly with various Commercialization committees and teams as the role evolves.

This role will collaborate directly with HR leaders and Organizational Development colleagues to deliver exceptional levels of HR Business Partner support throughout the annual HR cycles; workforce strategy initiatives; talent management processes; diversity, inclusion and belonging efforts; and organizational effectiveness activities; as well as, enhance rigor and create globally scalable approaches for organizational design programming, processes and initiatives to promote career enrichment and development for the GPGM professionals. This includes researching, creating, and implementing a practical strategy and leading efforts to create and embed deliverables across the organization. Also, responsible to stay informed of best practices and essential benchmarks and provide innovative, impactful ideas to enhance tools and processes to support talent initiatives, where appropriate, and drive career development across Amgen. Responsibilities :
  • Support the preparation and facilitation of talent management, compensation planning, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and other HR processes/cycles with the business.
  • Support design and development of new and innovative diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
  • Provide consultation on specific phases of Talent Management processes such as competency management, career paths, differentiated career development, assessments for development, mentoring, etc.
  • In partnership with business leaders, support communication and change management strategies and initiatives, as appropriate, to drive impact and understanding change across your assigned business areas.
  • Drive the design, implementation and ongoing execution of a global GPGM Capability Build, Training & Development Program. Consult with HR colleagues and business leaders regarding the development and execution of the program including assessment for the effectiveness of the program.
  • Support methods to report on analytics that measure the effectiveness of career development initiatives and programs.
  • Strong client relationship management skills towards providing development solutions that address business needs.
  • Develop project plans and/or other tactics to ensure projects are documented, executed and sustained.
  • Design and deliver high impact leadership team effectiveness interventions to ensure our most critical cross-functional teams are operating effectively.
  • Keep current on innovative trends in HR
  • Expected travel 10%


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Human Resources experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Human Resources experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources to include HR Business Partner experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources to include Organizational Development experience.
  • Background and training in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Organizational Development or Learning and Development.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner in creating big picture strategies and bring them to life in day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to facilitate experienced teams of leaders to drive improved performance and effectiveness.
  • Experience executing talent management, compensation planning, performance management cycles including additional experience in a HR Centers of Excellence (COE): talent acquisition, compensation, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding how to use data to inform program design.
  • Ability to balance a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands.
  • Self-directed and willing to take informed risks.
  • Experience managing large projects on a global scale involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities.
  • Knowledge of integrated talent systems/platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
