    Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Wellness Area Operations Manager position responsible for managing the Wellness and Sustainability Programs at Sodexo managed locations for a Premiere Healthcare System in NJ.  This is a Full-time temporary position that will last up to 2 years. The position is benefits eligible. 


    The selected candidate will report to the Sodexo system District Manager, and work closely with client process improvement leadership and the Sodexo management teams for this hospital system of 5 community hospitals.


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Managing Wellness programs based on the development and alignment of the clients' mission and vision.
    • Interact with client organization leaders including physicians, nursing, community relations, and human resources to develop and implement integrated wellness initiatives. 
    • Collaborate with operations teams to develop wellness programs and menus for retail cafeteria and other retail outlets, patient food service, and community outreach.
    • Integration of wellness programs into client employee benefit offerings
    • Assume major role in the client sustainability initiatives by managing the sustainability programs with a high degree of environmental consciousness to support the client’s commitment to  working toward reducing the system wide’s carbon footprint as well as moving toward improved sustainability practices.
    • Work in tandem the client organization leadership responsible for sustainability and be involved in the alignment with purchasing, waste management (food operations), and documentation and publishing of results both internally and externally. 


    The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian with the following qualifications:


    • Registered Dietitian and Licensed as applicable
    • 5 years or more of progressive  leadership experience as a Clinical Nutrition Manager with a focus in wellness programing
    • MS/MA/MPH/MBA  degree in nutrition, dietetics, health policy or administration, or related field
    • Specialty certification in dietetics (CDR Board Certified Specialist , CDE or CNSC)
    • Record of publication in peer reviewed scientific journals and  skills in development of program measurement systems
    • Additional training and certifications  in Project Management

    Position Summary:

    • Seeks and develops potential new business leads within an assigned geographic area.
    • Visits and inspects current accounts on a regular bases.
    • Monitors cost control programs.
    • Investigates areas that do not meet Sodexo standards and recommends improvement strategies to GM.
    • Initiates strategic action plans with the GM.
    • Assists DM/GM in re-negotiating terms of contract during contract renewals.
    • Assists management team in developing account business plans to enhance customer service, facility layout and design, account profitability and retention, and client and customer satisfaction.

    Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree Basic Management Experience

    • 3 years Basic Functional Experience
    • 3 years of experience in operations

    Position Summary

    Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a medium to large account or multiple accounts under one contract in a system. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

    Key Duties
    -Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
    -May provide direct nutrition care to population served
    -Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.
    -Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
    -Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Management Experience - 1 year

    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
