Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Limited relocation housing and/or miscellaneous allowance may be available for eligible candidates.

Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge, and technology solutions to enable Amgen's accelerated product commercialization. DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgen's innovative products and biosimilars.

ATO Site Supply Chain manages the planning, sourcing, and scheduling for DSC in all phases of clinical and pre-clinical development.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is open to learning new software tools and visualization techniques in a short period of time.

Responsibilities include:

Support the Supply Chain business function by helping to develop key potential technical solutions that will provide automation, advanced analytics, and insights to support strategic decision making. Facilitate continuous improvement by providing support in identifying, evaluating, and developing solutions that meet user requirements. Prepare and communicate regular project updates to key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a Master's program for a Masters internship from an accredited college or university

Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree Concentration(s) in Business, biotechnology, life science, finance, supply chain, or related fields
  • Good business acumen and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of drug development, commercialization and operations planning
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with dynamic cross-functional teams under minimal guidance
  • Ability to proactively seek out resources and collaborate
  • Self-starter with strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and project planning skills
  • Proficient in excel and data visualization tools
  • IS experience preferred
