The Global Marketing Senior Manager for Neuroscience will play an active role in the development and execution of global commercial strategies that support the continued success of the Aimovig launch. This will require working closely with the Novartis global team, the Amgen/ Novartis US commercial team, and the global cross-functional team.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for shaping strategic priorities (developing our global brand plan and aligning with local brand plans). As part of developing our brand strategy, the Senior Manager will help design and drive our life-cycle management plan.
As part of these responsibilities, the Senior Manager will translate strategies into tactical plans, implement tactics working with the Novartis global team/ US team, and potentially Japan team, and identify future customer needs as we plan for future priorities.
The candidate will work cross-functionally, navigate a partnership, engage in strategic and in-line marketing, work with agencies, and will use emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing/ refreshing our global brand plan aligned with the Amgen Global Product Strategy, US brand plan, and the Novartis territory plan
Leading key commercial activities to support life cycle management including developing forecasts for indications and engaging with US teams and the Novartis global team
Leading innovative commercial lifecycle programs (e.g., telemedicine, patient ecosystem) including generating and applying deep customer insights, partnering with cross-functional partners to design solutions, and piloting/ launching solutions
Leading other key strategic priorities for the global team including global brand planning, and partnering with Novartis and the US teams to align on strategic imperatives and prioritize tactics
Leading oversight of Agency of Record to develop, track and manage program projects/budget
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
OR
Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
OR
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
OR
Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree and 6+ year of marketing experience, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of marketing experience, in the biopharmaceutical industry
Experience marketing to neurologists in the U.S.
Global marketing experience
Experience building and optimizing digital solutions (Healthcare Provider and Patient)
Knowledge of and experience in working with the promotions legal/regulatory environment
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, experience producing business results, and outstanding organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence teams with diverse background
Competitive mindset, including ability to champion ideas, take decisions and deliver results
Proven ability to proactively problem-solve in a matrix environment
