    Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 4, Food for Lions Gate, a high-end kosher continuing care retirement community with 275 residents, located in Voorhees, New Jersey. This position will oversee daily operations for all resident dining.  The General Manager for this community will be responsible to manage all dining experiences for the residents, manage 8 managers, total staff of approximately 65 FT and PT hourly employees.

    Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

     

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • have oversight of day-to-day operations (dining room service, cafe, restaurant, and catering)
    • deliver high quality food service;
    • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
    • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
    • develop strategic plans;
    • create a positive environment; and
    • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

    The ideal candidate:

    • has demonstrated strong financial acumen, P&L experience;
    • a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills;
    • has 4 or more years previous food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment at a director / general manager level;
    • has a strong culinary background and knowledgeable in safety and sanitation compliance;
    • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
    • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
    • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
