     Sodexo Senior Living has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager 4- Food in Marin County, CA 


    The General Manager 4 this community will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and ensuring high customer service standards. This is an extremely visible role where the General Manager 4- Food must be able to provide high-touch, high caliber customer service to our Residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Manager 4- Food to provide leadership and oversight for the dining services at this beautiful upscale Senior Living community. 



    The General Manager will lead a management team of four which include: an Executive Chef, Dining Room Manager, Clinical Operations Manager, and a Registered Dietitian. The food service offerings at this location include a Bistro and multiple dining room options. Residents here have the ability to enjoy meals in our high end restaurant style dining room. The General Manager 4 must be client savvy, customer service orientated and have experience with retail and food operations. An extremely high level of service standards must be maintained in the areas of customer service, cleanliness, food quality and speed of food service.  



    This positon will be responsible for daily operations and oversight including responsibilities in:


    • Strong client relations skills
    • The ability to manage through managers and develop diverse and talented teams
    • Strong financial acumen, experience writing and managing budgets
    • Proven track record to grow revenue and manage costs
    • Team Building skills
    • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
    • High level presentation skills
    • Proven experience in relationship building and interaction skills with C-Suite / Administration
    • Vision to think "out of the box" to meet the needs of customers and clients

    The ideal candidate:


    • Current  Certified Dietary Management (CDM) certification.
    • Has a work history demonstrating strong 3-5 years in GM  leadership skills
    • Has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance
    • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and has a passion for a high level of customer service
    • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed 
    • Strong contract management/compliance experience
    • A strong customer focus, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and management experience in a food service environment
    • Delivering high quality food service
    • Achieve company financial targets and goals
    • Developing and maintain client and customer relations
    • Developing strategic plans
    • Creating a positive and enjoyable environment
    • Ensuring Sodexo Standards are met

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
