    Sodexo is seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager (Food) to join our Corporate Services Team in Blue Springs, MS! The General Manager will function as the lead operator for a large national account totaling $2.4 Million. This unit will offer a full service cafe, 2-3 Micro-markets and catering to a population of 2000.

     

    Reporting to the District Manager, the General Manager will have oversight of 18 employees. Position is responsible for directing all contract management service operations and client relations. The best qualified candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Currently in a leadership capacity with experience in large volume food operations background.
    • Experience in managing and developing teams.
    • Strong financial background. Experience with P&L and managing a budget, growing sales and margins
    • Excellent client relationship skills
    • Polished leadership skills to lead a large progressive team of food managers.
    • Multi-unit food operations background.

    Typical Schedule

    Monday To Friday

    Some weekends as needed

    Some evenings as needed

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    - Supervises day to day activities

    - Assigns & prioritizes activities
    - Monitors operating standards
    - Establishes a safe work environment

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 3 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
