    Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an experienced General Manager 4 to lead our Dining department at Villa Marin in San Rafael, CA.  

     

    Villa Marin is a HOA community designed for residents in different periods in their life. Nestled on a hill overlooking the mountains. Residents here have the ability to enjoy meals in our high end restaurant style dining room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for one location with P&L and Fee financial reporting. The General Manager must be client savvy, customer service orientated and have experience with retail and food operations. 

     

    The General Manager will build and maintain successful relationships and be visible and hands-on with all unit operations.

     

    *The General Manager should have a current CDM certification.*

     

    *Relocation is available for this position*

     

    • Strong client relations skills
    • The ability to manage through managers and develop diverse and talented teams
    • Strong financial acumen, experience writing and managing budgets
    • Proven track record to grow revenue and manage costs
    • Team Building skills
    • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
    • High level presentation skills
    • Proven experience in relationship building and interaction skills with C-Suite / Administration
    • Vision to think "out of the box" to meet the needs of customers and clients

     

    The ideal candidate:

    • Has a work history demonstrating strong 3-5 years in GM  leadership skills
    • Has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance
    • Has history and knowledge of working in a Union environment
    • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and has a passion for a high level of customer service
    • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 3 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
