    Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager to primarily support the Tennessee district. This Food Operations Manager 2 position is a Regional Operations Support / Resource position. Will support our team in the TN/KY area. As Resource hire, the selected candidate will be eligible to post to permanent Sodexo positions.


    The ideal candidate for this position will have solid food service experience and be a critical thinker who can break down complex problems into their component parts. The successful candidate will then be able to quickly move to action through a concise work plan that is understandable to all levels of the department. This individual must be comfortable taking calculated risks and working with ambiguity on a regular basis. Experience with Sodexo’s Food Management System (FMS) or similar systems, At Your Request or similar room service programs, a strong retail/marketing background, and Market Connections is preferred.  The Food Operations Manager 2 will assist with a myriad of projects including controlling food costs to managing labor relations to utilizing technology to meet the demands of the dynamic Healthcare environment.   Previous management experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred.  This position will require a passion for excellence and strong inter-personal skills to clearly communicate to a variety of different audiences.  If you are a self-starter who can hit the ground running this may be the position for you! 

    Position Summary

    Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
    Key Duties
    - Establishes a safe work environment

    - Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships,  to ensure account retention

    - Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

    - Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

    - Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

    - Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and  regulatory agencies



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
