GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in installation. Also assist with the installation of furniture.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Project Manager in the overall planning & coordination of installation project by reading blueprints, floor plans and installation drawings to determine best method and sequence of installation, in the absence of Project Manager, acts on their behalf to meet project deadlines

Have the ability to drive company vehicles complying with McCoy-Rockford's driving standards and maintaining a clear driving record

Review job details with Project Manager to ensure all materials and necessary equipment is securely loaded

Assist in building strong customer relationships by communicating customer expectations to the Project Manager and/or Customer Service Coordinator

Conduct Tool Box meetings with installation crew each morning

Assist Project Manager in the creation of punch list to facilitate project completion

Responsible for all company property assigned to their crew

Receive and check-in furniture on direct-to-jobsite deliveries.

Keep detailed and accurate records of individual job assignments and time

Attend monthly safety meetings

Maintain line of communication with Dispatcher, Project Manager and Customer Service Coordinator

Supervise large complex, multi-floor installations ensuring all installation personnel are properly trained, well groomed, and performing their duties safely and efficiently under the direction of a Project Manager

Assist in evaluating installation employees and provide timely feedback

Enforce company rules and regulations and safety requirements.

Regularly train and develop crew personnel on the jobsite regarding installation procedures, quality service, safety guidelines etc.

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

WORK EXPERIENCE:

3 to 5 years related work experience, strong preference for at least 2 of years performing office furniture installation

1+ years of supervisory experience

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Degree or equivalent, some college preferred

Complete and maintain customer site specific badge requirements

OTHER/PREFERRED:

Excellent communication and facilitation skills

Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

Ability to multi-task and work with many interruptions

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Ability to speak to groups effectively and maintain audience interest

Able to learn and pass safety driver training program

WORK ENVIRONMENT: (overtime, travel, physical demands, conditions)

Required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds approx. 4 hours a day

Required to carry pieces weighing up to 100 pounds without mechanical assistance

Required to push and pull pieces with a force up to 26 lbs.

Requires coupling forces of up to 30 lbs. up to 15 hours

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
