Position: Fall 2020 Law Student Internship

Terms of Employment: Internship/10-15 hours per week

Location: Remote

Salary: This internship is offered for credit or as part of a clinical course.

Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and are welcome to apply for a semester-long project or a shorter specific issue project for credit.

The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) is one of the nation's leading advocates on behalf of constitutional rights and liberties. Founded in 1951, as the New York affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, the NYCLU is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization with more than 180,000 members and supporters, and eight offices statewide. The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York state affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, seeks a diverse group of current law students for fall 2020 internships. During our 10 week program, interns will engage in legal research and writing to support policy advocacy and legislative priorities on gender and sexuality rights, policing work, worker's rights and other policy issues. Interns may also have opportunities to participate in other projects such as court monitoring, policy campaigns, and public education about civil rights and liberties.
