Executive Director, Corporate FP&A

In supporting the business for growth, the Executive Director, Corporate FP&A will direct and oversee the consolidation of all business segments financial planning and analysis, budgeting and reporting functions for the company.  Ensures development of forecasts for future business growth and general financial outlook; provides leadership by working with the finance department and business unit leadership to establish long-range goals and strategic plans. 
  • Use insights to become a strategic partner with the business and support Management Team and Department heads with in-depth analysis and reporting that you will prepare and present to Senior Management and Board of Directors.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. 
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes. 
  • Be accountable for analysis and reporting of process results as compared to budget updates and prior year, including analysis of the impact of volume and price changes, cost reduction programs and product mix changes on results.  Recommend specific appropriate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial and operating reports, monthly operating statements, forecasts, monthly variance analysis, budget data and MD&A summary for quarterly earnings. Make recommendations regarding efficiency, cost savings and productivity through working knowledge of system operations across all departments.
  • Drive the linkage of performance metrics related to operating results with the achievement of EBITDA performance that is in line with initiatives employed with the strategic and annual plans.  
  • Bachelors degree and 10+ years of progressive financial experience. MBA Preferred.
  • Strong experience leading, coaching and motivating a team!
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; you are highly organized.
  • Strong ability to think analytically and strategically, acting tactically and embracing rapid change and ambiguity.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning experience along with financial modeling.
  • Experience with best practices in financial reporting, planning and analysis and experience with planning and reporting systems (Hyperion and Essbase).
  • Ability to think creatively, be highly-driven and self-motivated with ability to command credibility and influence across the organization.
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting; ability to work independently, with limited direction.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; strong oral and written communication skills and experience with cross-functional and cross-divisional projects that drive change.
  • Project Management skills along with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects or strategic initiatives impacting the function or business strategies.
  • Ability to own interpreting the business strategy and translating it into tactical departmental strategies and plans.
  • Broad conceptual judgment and ability to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated.
