    Sodexo Leisure is seeking an Executive Chef 3 for Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA with a broad interest in food from historical cuisine to current trends to join our team. This historic venue features scratch cooking, sophisticated, contemporary cuisine, distinctive fare inspired by historical recipes & traditional regional offerings. 


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Hands on Executive Chef 3 will supervise and lead the kitchen team in executing events including tours & weddings ranging from 20-250 guests, as well as the daily retail operation and Thanksgiving Day dining for 2500+.


    You are/have:

    • Developing menus and overseeing operational standards for retail & catering operations
    • Responsible for purchasing, compliance, inventory, cost analysis and forecasting
    • Experience in bread making & scratch cooking
    • Providing training and coaching to the culinary team
    • Ensuring compliance to food safety, HACCP, sanitation and workplace safety standards
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are key to success in this role

    Position Summary

    Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
    Key Duties
    - Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
    - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
    - Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
    - Manages catering & retail areas.
    - Customer & Client satisfaction.
    - Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
    -  Manages food & physical safety programs.


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
