Executive Administrator and Board Liaison 

Salary Range:  $40,000-50,000  annually

Full Time with Benefits


Position Description:

The Executive Administrator and Board Liaison will report to the CEO. The Executive Administrator and Board Liaison position is responsible for coordinating all organizational activities that relate to  Brilliant Detroits governance groups [Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Advisory Teams]. The Executive Administrator will also serve as the main point of contact for the organizations CEO and coordinate meetings, events or special projects at the direction of the CEO and the Admin Department at large.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as liaison and support  on all board and committee meetings, including the Board of Directors and Advisory Board

  • Prepare communications and  reports to governance groups

  • Maintain official minutes of the full Board and records of committee proceedings

  • Responsible for sending out all packets (agendas and minutes) before each Committee meeting

  • Prepare for Board of Directors meeting and all Committee meetings

  • Assist CEO  with communications (may include project plans and planning, emails, drafting documents, telecommunications, etc.)

  • Maintains CEOs appointment calendar; schedules meetings, conferences, teleconferences and any travel necessary

  • Able to work with confidential materials

  • Manage small events

  • Create presentations, spreadsheets and documents as needed

  • Respond promptly to internal and external emails and requests

  • Perform additional duties, as needed


  • Bachelors Degree and two years experience with nonprofit fundraising preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Drive (including Sheets, Docs, Slides), and Mailchimp

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with superior grammar and proofreading skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment

  • Can work cooperatively with different personalities and individuals

  • This position may require evening and/or weekend work
