Amgen is looking for expert and hardworking Sanitor to join AML7-Drug Substance team as Environmental Support Technician to support a non-standard shift work scheduled.

The role

This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a variety of challenges and responsibilities around our state-of-the-art Microbial facility. After the completion of the on-boarding and applicable training/qualifications; you will set about providing facility/equipment, cleaning, and sanitation, manufacturing operation setup, assuring minimal impact to production while aligning with SOP's, cGMP and Amgen regulations. There will be opportunities to develop further your sanitation capabilities and knowledge through a detailed training program.

You'll be ask also to perform housekeeping activities such as keep clearing work areas, equipment, exterior, facility, utility, in addition to keep process and results documents up-to-date. You will also assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working inventory for the equipment/supplies that the team is responsible for to ensure everything runs smoothly.

As your career progress with us, you will have the chance to act as a resource/trainer for EST's and even may lead responsibilities within the work team. With sight of so much of the shop floor, you will also play an integral in our efforts to streamline our environmental methods and processes and become even more efficient.

The department

The AML-7 Facility is the home of elite, multi-product Drug Substance Manufacturing Operations. The facility highlights the combination of groundbreaking manufacturing sciences and process technology, advanced equipment engineering and automation, and a culture of opportunities integrating cross-functional teams from across the site with the goal of achieving being the best drug substance manufacturing facility in the world.

As part of a non-standard rotating shift, the team focuses on a range of readiness, setup, manufacturing processing and analytical testing duties. There will also be opportunities to take on Fermentation and Purification activities. With both formal learning and on the job training, it is the perfect place to develop.

Basic Qualifications - skills and education

Associate Degree and 2+ years' of manufacturing and/or operations experience within a GMP regulated environment

or

High School Diploma and 4+ years of manufacturing operations and/or experience within a GMP regulated environment

Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Robust knowledge and proven successful track execution of sanitization activities in alignment with Good Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Detail oriented with ability to complete written and verbally assigned tasks following specific procedures.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Proficient Reading/Writing skills to perform and document manufacturing operations.
  • Hands on experience with SAP and EBR systems.
  • Knowledge with basic computer operations, such as ability to navigate in MS Office, use email, and complete training using Computer Based Training (CBT).
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift in support of operations that may include 24/7.
  • Organization skills and talent to perform assignments with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report unexpected events.
