    Sodexo Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Services Manager 2 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

     

    Sodexo is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager to work on the EVS team at Florida Medical Center for a second shift opportunity (2:00pm start time). This position functions as the lead manager for the Environmental Services team, which is part of the Tenet Health system. Florida Medical Center is a 459 bed acute care medical-surgical facility in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The successful candidate should have a hands-on management approach working with a team of 30, strong floor care experience, have a high emphasis on driving employee engagement, and 3+ years of Sodexo ES Management with a progressive track record. This position will motivate staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role, along with knowledge of TRAKKAR, and Sodexo’s ES UOS is preferred. The position workss on the 2nd shift with the frontline housekeeping team delivering high-quality services at a very dynamic acute healthcare hospital with a focus on patient satisfaction and client relations.

     

    This position supports the hospital mission by providing leadership for our employees in the delivery of safe, clean environment for our Patients, Customers, and hospital Employees in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate for this position will:

    • Have solid understanding of Sodexo ES UOS and demonstrated ability to be part of a management team to align operations accordingly

    • Exhibit drive and dependability; embrace and support a system approach to Environmental Services.

    Preferred candidates will have experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping and/or Custodial Services, excellent customer service skills along with strong computer skills desired. Prior experience with Sodexo programs including Web UFS, TRAKKAR, CARES, and Gold Checks is desired.  The ability to support and build relationships with clients, employees and the local community is a must.

    Position Summary

    Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.

    Key Duties
    -Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.

    -Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
    -Coordinate/conduct employee training
    -Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
    -Interact with outside vendors
    -Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
    -Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
    -Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments
