Description: This position is responsible for supporting mechanical engineering in new product development, analysis and testing. Collaborates with other engineers on a range of engineering projects that require strong understanding of engineering fundamentals. 

Essential Duties:
  1. Optimizes prototype designs which satisfy design requirements, system specifications and user needs.
  2. Creates protocols and reports for the test of mechanical and electro-mechanical prototypes to verify outputs.
  3. Conducts design reviews and presentations in technical areas.
  4. Maintains and follows proper compliance with Quality System requirements and applicable global regulatory requirements.
  5. Provides engineering support in the design, fabrication, development, installation, and qualification of equipment and test methods.
  6. Works with Manufacturing Engineers to incorporate test procedures into manufacturing instructions and related process documents.
  7. Participates in evaluating the hazards and risks in an ISO14971 compliant risk management process associated with product designs, processes, mitigations and\/or non-conformances.Other Duties:
    1. May train others in proper operation of products, systems or equipment.
    2. Provides input to estimates for project costs, schedule and resources.
    3. Performs other job related duties assigned.
