Our Team: The editorial teams within Discovery Digital Studios create content for websites and social platforms for HGTV, Food Network, ID, Travel Channel and other Discovery brands.

The Role: This position establishes best practices and supports editors and editorial leads across multiple brands in the areas of hiring and onboarding freelancers (ICs); managing budget, invoice and asset tracking; coordinating rules and prizing for various sweepstakes; and troubleshooting and communicating about technical issues. The position also maintains good relationships with partners in Finance, P&C and IT.


  • Manage invoice approvals and Independent Contractor Request approvals for 20+ hiring managers/editors across multiple brands
  • Coordinate all contract extensions, application requests and IT-related issues for 100+ ICs
  • Coordinate all IT and access issues for 20+ editors/hiring managers and their ICs
  • Handle rules and fulfillment for digital-led sweepstakes across brands
  • Create new vendors and purchase orders in SAP for multiple brands and approve invoices in SAP
  • Assist editorial leads with budget tracking and predictions for multiple brands

  • Requirements

    * 5+ years of experience with business operations, including Accounting, budget management, IT, Legal and vendor management, preferably in a creative environment

    * Familiarity with SAP accounting and Fieldglass vendor management systems preferred

    * Ability to learn technology quickly and to communicate effectively with IT partners

    * Independent worker who thrives on problem-solving, creating efficiencies, and helping the larger team meet their goals

    * Interest in the fast-paced world of digital media and especially lifestyle brands

    * Must have the legal right to work in the United States
