  • Work directly within SOC practice area, providing governance, risk, technology, and compliance audit services to clients.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses and industries by having direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagement.
  • Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client's operations, processes, and business objectives.
  • Serve as a valued business advisor, build relationships, and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
  • Perform the full audit cycle including risk management and evaluation of controls related for SOC 1 and SOC 2 Trust Principles.
  • Effectively apply technical understanding of governance, risk, and controls to evaluate business processes and controls & recommend strategies to address risk.
  • Collaborate with project managers, quality management, sales and other delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet project deliverables.
  • Responsible for documenting and finalizing SOC reporting materials.
  • Manage team, responsible for talent decisions in regard to performance management, compensation and hiring. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members in areas of audit, assessment, technical review and writing.


  • Bachelor's degree (four-year college or university), preferably in Information Technology, Information Security, Finance or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with working knowledge of AICPA performance standards with regard to planning, testing, sampling and documentation for SOC audits.
  • At least eight (8) years of working experience in information technology, information security, technical assessments including SOC 2 audits.
  • Knowledge of General Controls/Application Controls and sound understanding of IT platforms, applications, and related technology/cloud.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc).
  • In depth knowledge of SOX and SOC requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
  • Proficient in the design and implementation of effective control environments (IT and business process).
