Directs Tuck's accounting and financial reporting, manages the school's financial services, supports the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer in budget planning and management activities, and supervises the Tuck finance team.

Key Accountabilities

1. Budget Planning and Management (40%): Partners with the CFAO in preparing and presenting budget projections, communicating approved budgets and process guidelines to Tuck departments, and producing quarterly and ad hoc budget reports. Consults with school officials and department heads in managing budgets in accordance with approved funding, internal controls, and process guidelines.
2. Accounting and Financial Reporting (20%): Directs review and approval of expenditures and personnel actions according to CFAO authorization and Tuck and Dartmouth fiscal policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepares and produces financial records and reports for reconciliations, audits, and other activities. Maintains dashboard of key institutional financial metrics.
3. Financial Services Management (20%): Manages school financial services processes for tuition, gifts, scholarships, procurement, business expenses, personnel actions, and other transactions. Writes, edits, and/or approves financial services communications. Contributes ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, communications, and other activities with financial service implications.
4. Finance Team Supervision and Development (20%): Hires, supervises, and coaches financial services team members. Sets the direction and operating standards for delivering financial services to Tuck departments. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of higher education accounting and financial services trends and innovations through research, participating in peer networks and professional associations, and continuing education.
