    Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Nutrition Director position that will lead MUSC’s clinical nutrition program. 


    MUSC operates a 700-bed medical center, which includes a nationally recognized children's hospital, a cancer center, a Level I trauma center, and South Carolina’s only transplant center.


    Responsibilities and Duties:


    Manage and develop the clinical program and provide direction to build a high functioning team of Clinical Dietitians for both inpatient and outpatient services.


    Supervise the team of 35 Registered Dietitians, and 3 Clinical Nutrition Managers and assist with the management of the room service program. 


    Develop and maintain quality relationships with key strategic individuals, groups and networks to work collaboratively to accomplish mutual goals. 


    Assess and evaluate process efficiency and make changes where needed. 


    Promote an environment that embraces change, new ideas, and innovative thinking. 


    Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory readiness; establish and maintain standards of care. 


    Maintain a highly visible role, interact with clients, and represent the department on hospital-wide medical staff, nursing and interdisciplinary committees. 


    Lead and drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects with a mission to exceed customer and client satisfaction.


    Typical Requirements and Skills: 


    Registered Dietitian and have a Master’s Degree. 


    Management experience of a large clinical team in a medical center or multi-site setting environment. 


    A proven leader who is mission-focused, growth oriented, process-minded, and skilled in leading teams in a performance-driven culture. 


    Self-directed, flexible, and a team player and have excellent leadership, time management, verbal, and written communication skills. 


    Strong Leadership and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities an timely decision making.


    Licensure in SC is required.

    Position Summary

    Provides direction, development, business strategy, and deployment of innovative nutrition and wellness programs.   Provides direct operational support in alignment with Senior Manager, Area Support (Clinical.)  Serves as a subject matter expert for the Division relating to standards and practices for nutrition and customer services for strategic business.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 5 years

    Basic Functional Experience – 5 years in clinical nutrition, + registered dietitian.
