Digital and Creative Project Specialist

Are you an organized person who enjoys working collaboratively to lead creative projects from concept to completion in an effective and efficient way? Do you thrive on working with a positive, upbeat team in a fast-paced environment to create amazing work? If so, here’s a great opportunity to join an energetic team of designers and copywriters with a digital bent who are creating some innovative products at a dynamic global law firm.

Orrick currently has an exciting opening for a Digital and Creative Project Specialist in our Communications department based in our Global Operations Center (GOC) in Wheeling WV, which is within commuting distance from the greater Pittsburgh and Ohio Valley areas.

About this Job:
You’ll work closely with internal team members (creative, communications, marketing, sales, IT) and external partners (vendors, outside agencies), to make sure we meet all project deadlines. Using your excellent organizational and project management skills, you will effectively execute high-profile, time-sensitive projects, and you’ll play a critical role in ensuring projects are aligned to business needs, managed and completed on time and on budget.

In this role, you will:
• Serve as the high-level project lead for key firm digital and print endeavors, including advertising assets, presentations, brochures, e-reports, events, signage, emails and other projects. You will effectively manage project intake, analyze and assign resources and personnel, and develop project timelines and key deliverable dates – then manage to those dates, tracking progress, mitigating risks and communicating throughout the process to completion.
• Guide the strategic planning and execution of select digital/online campaign initiatives from beginning to end, working in collaboration with other groups to ensure projects are fully scoped out at the project intake level, aligned to the firm’s strategy and fit within the firm’s existing digital ecosystem. Projects may include but are not limited to new digital initiatives, assets, webpages and overseeing the creation and execution of online marketing and social campaigns (unpaid and paid), working closely with the communications team and external agencies as needed.
• Request and review proposals from print vendors, photographers and other contractors as needed. You will work with third-party vendors coordinating proofs, obtaining approvals and facilitating print production and fulfillment between points of contact within Orrick’s global organization. In addition to handling projects, you will assist with simple design production tasks, consistent with the firm’s branding standards (such as copy changes, generating PDFs, etc.). This role requires effective and thorough proofing of outgoing collateral for copy accuracy and brand consistency prior to team or client review.
• You will be process-oriented – strive to work efficiently and effectively, adhere to processes where they exist, and proactively identify opportunities to create and implement processes where they do not exist but could increase operational efficiency.
• Manage several of the creative team’s key systems including the firm’s marketing collateral and promotional item website, the digital asset management system, and the overall communications team budget.

If managing the creative and digital workflow of a dynamic, collaborative team of designers, writers, technologists and business partners sounds like a role you’d excel in, we want to talk to you.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
• Experience in a digital or design production environment, either in-house or agency, is preferred but not required
• Experience within (or with) the professional services industry
• An eye for detail, with superior written and verbal communication skills
• Well-versed in project management processes and extremely organized
• Demonstrated record of strong project ownership from initiation through completion
• Able to oversee multiple projects at once including effective prioritization of those projects
• Proactive, resourceful, takes initiative
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Service-oriented, enjoys working collaboratively, and prides themselves on delivering stellar work
