Summary:

The Data Analytics & Integration Specialist will identify and lead the implementation of a strategic data integration platform to modernize NPTs approach to data management and add systematic efficiencies to how data is managed and maintained in all systems. This role will also be responsible for the development of reports and dashboards for business users and driving forward NPTs use of analytics. This role will contribute to complex IT projects with multiple third-party systems and will be responsible for understanding business requirements to translate into solutions. A strong candidate will have proven experience defining and leading the implementation of data integration systems as well as the ability to apply data integration skills across the organization. This role will require independent research, planning, and delivery of modern IT solutions that align with current IT best practices.



Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:



  • Data Integration

    • Identify and lead the implementation of strategic data integration platform

    • Maintain and continually improve data integration platform using disciplined software development processes

    • Develop standards and guidelines for integration development to ensure consistency of processes

    • Define, implement and maintain a roadmap for data integration strategy and projects to proactively drive efficiency in rapidly changing business environment

    • Identify and define data requirements to integrate new data sources

    • Perform technical analysis to confirm data integration meets or exceeds expectations

    • Serve as company subject matter expert for all data related projects/on-going data integration and maintenance

    • Assist in driving the development of APIs needed from third party systems to integrate data into a strategic platform



  • Data Security

    • Under the guidance of IT management, work alongside Cybersecurity Analyst to implement data classification/data protection policies in all business and infrastructure applications

    • Partner with Legal to implement and maintain data retention program

    • Partner with internal leaders to provide insights, recommendations, and best practices to improve the quality and security of data

    • Partner with Cybersecurity Analyst to lead all data related external inquiries with a specific focus on requests related to GDPR, CCPA, Data Protection Act and other emerging legislation

    • Develop a metric-based data quality management system to measure data quality  



  • Data Processes

    • Manage and maintain internal data entry standards and partner with internal users to ensure technical enforcement

    • Create manage and maintain data flow diagram/process materials for all business applications

    • Stay abreast of industry trends to proactively identify areas for growth, improvement, and development with the capability to implement industry best practices in systems reliability, scalability, performance and security

    • Create and manage Microsoft Power Automate processes, Flows, Power Apps, and Bots to improve businesses processes and their automation, as well as enhancing system integration amongst platforms



  • Data Reporting/Analytics

    • Under the guidance of IT management, develop and enhance SQL Server data mart, data analytics, and data reporting

    • Lead third party assessment of NPTs data analytics program, create a roadmap and implement projects

    • Develop reports and dashboards within Power BI and Salesforce to help business users digest / visualize information and drive decisions

    • Drive enhancements of current Power BI report to implement predictive analytics for NPT





Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated experience architecting services integrations preferably with MuleSoft

  • Knowledge of API management solutions (Apigee, Mashery, etc.) and ability to drive external API development requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL required

  • Knowledge of DAX preferred

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Flow required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables, macros, vlookups, queries, advanced written formulas)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in technical, computer sciences or math discipline

  • 5+ years contributing to or leading data integration efforts / architecting data solutions

  • Proven experience delivering data integration solutions

  • Experience working in a small company as data lead a plus

  • Self-driven, personable, willing to define and drive the direction of the role 

  • Possess and demonstrate a desire to define the direction of the role

  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Superb written and oral communication skills
