JOB TITLE: Customer Quality Manager
Location: Austin, TX

Samsung Device Solutions America is seeking a motivated Customer Quality Manager for our Austin, TX office location. In this individual contributor role you will be responsible for addressing all customer quality issues that occur after product qualification, and occasionally support failures which occur during qualification, and providing technical support when requested from customers.


  • Represent Samsung's commitment to excellence in quality through effective customer engagement.
  • Support Storage component SSD, HDD, and DRAM Quality and problem management for our core customers and their ODMs, arrange customer meetings and provide excellent and consistent customer service.
  • Organize technical communication in order to maximize problem solving and help set up verification procedures and conditions through CIP, 8D and RCCA processes.
  • Maintain status reports on customer issues, collect data and escalate urgent issues to management level
  • Manage reports and customer expectations for Quality performance metrics DPPM, FA TAT, analysis results and for additional customer response
  • Create proposals to support customized products and/or solutions for collaboration with headquarter CS/QA engineers in Korea for project management of customer quality initiatives
  • Manage quality expectations in collaboration with customers and/or HQ and drive quality improvement initiatives with customers.
  • Support customers during Factory audits as needed.
  • Manage rework activity when necessary
  • Collect customer satisfaction indexes for continuous quality and service improvements.
  • Document and research new quality standards and manufacturing trends in collaboration with headquarters
  • Set up OSV tool to minimize false RMA returns and failure returns to Samsung in order to facilitate precise Failure Analysis
  • Manage PCN/FCN (Process or FW change notification) distribution and customer approval

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • 5 years of customer negotiations experience required.
  • Experience in storage component technology DRAM, SSD, HDD highly preferred
  • CRE, CQE preferred
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Domestic and international travel to customer sites as needed
