Managing Associate for our dynamic and growing Technology Transactions practice within Orrick’s prestigious Technology Companies Group. This position can be based in any of Orrick’s U.S. offices. Orrick’s Technology Transactions practice represents clients from start-ups through the Fortune 50, across industries including software, new media, food, connected vehicles, e-commerce, Internet, clean tech, semiconductor, and life sciences.

The ideal candidate should have some or all of the following experience:

  • Negotiating complex stand-alone commercial and technology transactions and providing intellectual property counseling and assisting with intellectual property matters in connection with M&A transactions.

  • Experience with privacy, data security, and open source software-related matters is a plus.

  • Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is a plus.

  • A technical undergraduate degree is a plus.

  • Must have 3 to 6 years’ experience.

We are open to candidates who are transferring from other practice areas with a relevant skill set. Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent academic credentials along with superior communication skills. Membership to the State Bar of California is required for joining the Los Angeles, San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Membership to the State Bar of New York is required for joining the New York office.
