Orrick is seeking a Career Associate with 2-5 years’ experience to join our dynamic and growing Intellectual Property Licensing & Technology Transactions practice. Orrick’s IP Licensing and Technology Transactions practice represents clients from start-ups through the Fortune 50, across industries including software, new media, food, connected vehicles, e-commerce, Internet, clean tech, semiconductor, and life sciences.

This position will require extensive contact with IP Licensing and Technology Transactions attorneys in other offices.  Duties will include form development and some client billable work.  Candidates can be based in any of our U.S. offices.

  • Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent academic credentials along with superior communication skills. 
  • 2-5 years of intellectual property licensing or commercial agreement / technology transactions experience.
  • JD from accredited law school.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Membership to the State Bar of the desired office location is required. 
    • Wheeling office applicants must be admitted to the West Virginia State Bar, be eligible to join the West Virginia State Bar via reciprocity or by transferring a UBE score, or be willing to take the West Virginia State Bar Exam.
