Coordinator, Campus Events - North Campus

Responsibilities:
  • Reserve facilities for all non-class activities
  • Coordinate community events held on the North Campus
  • Provide service information for customer awareness and to facilitate customers' selection of services needed for successful events
  • Serve as a liaison to the North Channel Community, representing the College within the community; identify and develop professional relationships with other colleges, organizations, leaders, businesses and government agencies
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence, reports and other documents such as facility usage, promotional and marketing ideas, and newsletter items; perform data management activities related to area
  • Maintain and pull reports of upcoming events for various offices
  • Update the web calendar for events held on campus
  • Research resources and options available to promote and administer effective services to meet campus needs
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings, lunches as well as attend student seminars and events which work with community groups to strengthen the bond between the college and the community
  • Plan, implement and evaluate programs; make recommendations regarding service effectiveness and needs for future events
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have knowledge of events held in the past on campus and in the community
  • Giving presentations of the campus to groups
  • Developing interpersonal relationships
  • Planning, implementing and evaluation of programs and services
  • Using office equipment such as phones, copiers, and fax machine
  • Using computer and relevant software applications
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to the interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, students, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and receive work direction

Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
  • Associate degree

Required Experience :
  • Five years of related experience including three years of working at a community college or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Preferred Experience:
  • 10 years of related experience including five years of working at a community college


Salary Grade: 15

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
