Handicare offers solutions and support to increase independence of the physically challenged and elderly with the manufacture and sale of lifts, transfer aids and other safe patient handling equipment to residential, institutional, and long-term care facilities.


This is a key role for the company reporting directly to the VP of Finance, working closely with management and senior leadership in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The ideal candidate will administer contracts and subcontracts to include but not limited to contract initiation, modifications, compliance, proposals, negotiation, risk management and reporting. The role will also include fleet management, customer contract analysis and other critical administrative responsibilities. The position is centrally located in Maryland Heights, MO just off 270 and Dorsett. If you want to be part of a great team and help grow a great business, we would like to talk to you.


We are targeting a detail oriented, analytical, driven, results oriented candidate with an exceptional work ethic and great attitude that will foster greater communication, strong compliance, and risk management.




  • Administer and monitor all customer and vendor contracts and leases, including initiation, close-out, extensions, or renewals

  • Assist with negotiations and ensure compliance to company policies and procedures

  • Lead internal communications, incorporate relevant feedback, and assist with bid and proposal responses

  • Responsible for reviewing terms, interpreting agreement terms and conditions, identifying potential issues, recommending, and implementing changes and modifications

  • Summarize contract deal terms, collaborate, and communicate terms with appropriate functions, management, and senior leadership

  • Organize and track all contracts and respond to specific contract inquiries

  • Facilitate contract agreement and signing with officers

  • Responsible for Federal contract maintenance and compliance

  • Responsible for fleet management oversight and developing the optimal cost-effective strategy

  • Assist with insurance, business licenses and lien waivers

  • Calculate customer rebates based on contract terms for review by sales and finance

  • Work with senior leadership and management to prepare and present customer contract analytics

  • Assist with product liability and legal correspondence

  • Special projects as assigned




  • Bachelors degree required

  • 7+ years of related experience in contract management or as a Paralegal

  • Understanding of the business or industry with a construction background a plus

  • Strong understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language, and the contract lifecycle

  • Experience with government entities and government contracts a plus

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify, research and understand legal and financial implications required

  • International experience a plus, working with U.S., Canada, and Europe

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships

  • Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision

  • Experience in or ready for a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Heavy Microsoft Office skillset required

  • Ability to travel up to 5%
