Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

1. Envisions, articulates, and implements plan for achieving goals and priorities related to social media engagement and coordination of public relations activities and projects; engages with Tuck communications team and other colleagues to identify and surpass project coordination and other challenges; evaluates progress using data analytics, particularly feedback from communications colleagues; and updates priorities with direction from the director. (5%)
2. Social Media: Participates in developing social media strategies; implements targeted social media advertising campaigns to increase Tuck brand awareness, drive traffic to Tuck web and social media sites, and enhance search engine optimization; sources, writes, and posts updates on social media platforms; monitors social media for posts about Tuck, peer schools, and business education trends; and tracks, analyzes, and reports social media activities. (35%)
Media Relations: Tracks, reports, and archives news media coverage about Tuck, peer schools, and business education trends; coordinates the preparation, formatting, and distribution of Today at Tuck and other regular aggregated news updates; responds to and relays media requests, handles logistics for radio and television appearances, and assists director with media outreach and story placement; coordinates mailing and distribution of Tuck publications; and serves as the primary point of contact for and administers media monitoring services and periodical subscriptions. (35%)
3. Contributes ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, and communications with public relations implications, particularly opportunities to promote newsworthy stories. (5%)
4. Collaborates with professional staff and faculty colleagues to conceptualize, manage, and complete shared projects and assignments. (15%)
5. Gains knowledge of and shares insights into pertinent trends and innovations through market research, participation in peer networks and associations, and attending conferences, seminars, and speaking engagements. (5%)
