    Sodexo Leisure is seeking an experienced Catering Manager 3 to lead our catering operations at High Country Conference Center at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona! In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the front of house for more than 30,000 square feet of banquet space. 


    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Oversees scheduling of staff, day-to-day activities, with high level of priority on quality client service 
    • This HANDS ON manager will provide flawless execution of events and providing a high level of customer service to our clients; accountable for staff scheduling, event planning assistance, ordering, cost control
    • Capable of motivating, training and developing the front of house team with a strong focus on service and safety standards.

    • Successful experience as a Banquet/Catering Manager at a conference center, resort, hotel and/or high-end catering atmosphere
    • Experience working in a high-end catering/conference environment with groups up to 500 or more is desired

    High Country Conference Center at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona is looking for a highly energetic and talented hands-on Executive Chef to lead and develop our culinary team. High Country Conference Center is an upscale IACC certified (International Association of Conference Centers) Conference Center located on the north end of the Northern Arizona University campus. High Country Conference Center strives to provide world-class service and amenities for meetings and events of all types and sizes and is conveniently located 2 hours from Phoenix and 3 hours from Las Vegas.

    Position Summary

    Oversight of catering activities for a medium to large size location/unit with less than $1.5M in managed catering volume. Complex events with a high degree of hands on involvement in catering solutions.  Large amount of high profile events. Strong client interaction.
    Key Duties
    - Oversight of Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering programs to direct daily catering events including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.
    - Oversight of the sales process for catering and/or conference services. Works with client and customers to design events.
    - Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.
    - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards in various environments. Drives the Zero Harm mindset.
    - Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary
    - Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
