Description: Job Summary: This is a remote based position, and can be based anywhere East of the Mississippi River. Under guidelines and objectives set out in the care pathway blueprint, provides care pathway insight to include procedural knowledge, admissions, recovery, discharge and management of patients undergoing endovascular cardiac, visceral or peripheral procedures. Knowledge of hospital processes and guidelines as it relates to the flow, management and successful migration of a patient through the care pathway as well as the interaction, roles and responsibilities of the administrative, nursing, technical and medical staff will be utilized to provide care pathway consultation to hospitals. Provides highly specific procedural and care pathway consultation in a clinical environment, collaborating with other team members from the business, clinical, education, marketing and sales teams to bring about care pathway modification and improvements designed to generate cost effective throughput and improved patient experiences within the targeted hospital environment. Provides collaborative interaction with the targeted hospital and company business personnel to insure the appropriate and necessary observation and measurement of desired changes are facilitated and achieved in a collegial and professional manner. Responsible for interacting across a broad spectrum of hospital stakeholders to include admissions, nursing, cath lab staff, cardiologists, scheduling, lab, service line managers, senior administrators, to insure that the desired outcomes necessary to achieve care pathway modification are met utilizing the tools, practices, suggestions and methods outlined in the care pathway blueprint Job Details: 1. The position works under the supervision of the Care Pathway Business Leader to support the business unit goals of delivering care pathway modification to contracted hospitals. 2. Implement care pathway modifications as per the agreed upon specifications and requirements set out in the contractual terms of the project charter. 3. Work closely with the assigned business manager to insure the accountÙs goals and expectations for the project are properly met. 4. Interact specifically with the hospital personnel called out in the project charter 5. Communicate verbally and written, with the care pathway leader, business manager, and other associated Terumo personnel to insure the success of the project 6. Provide status updates to the care pathway leader and business manager as needed 7. Demonstrate sound working knowledge of one or more specific care pathway components (admissions, peri-procedural care, recovery, discharge), with an ability to adapt and adopt working knowledge of additional or missing components 8. Demonstrate professional and consultative demeanor and interactions at all times with client hospitals 9. Develop working knowledge of Terumo products as well their value proposition in the care pathway application. 10. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all TMC Quality Systems requirements. This includes but is not limited to the prompt recognition and forwarding of customer complaints (i.e. adverse events, product performance reports, etc.) to Quality Assurance (QA), and by ensuring all promotional messaging (i.e. branding strategies, product claims, etc.) and materials (i.e. literature) discussed or presented to customers are clinically accurate and adhere to AdvaMed guidelines and TerumoÙs policy on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals. Maintain strong knowledge of and adherence to regulations regarding promotional material content and control. Follow procedures for good clinical practices and Design Control when participating in new product development and clinical activities. Fully adhere to all applicable FDA regulations, international guidelines and TerumoÙs policies at all times. 11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Working Conditions: 1. This is a field-based position. Travel is expected. Associate is expected to be on site at the contracted hospital for one or as many as several consecutive days. May require multiple trips to a facility. Travel may be anywhere throughout the 50 states. 2. Daily entry to hospitals and other medical facilities is required. Many facilities have instituted vendor credentialing policies which require vendors to meet defined training, background check and proof of immunization requirements as a condition of entry. Terumo Associates entering these facilities are required to abide by these credentialing requirements. 3. Must be able to gain access to and work in the IR suite, cath lab, and operating room. Entry into these areas requires an ability to wear appropriate gowning, stand for long periods of time, comply with hospital policy\/protocol and be aware of potential biohazards such as blood borne pathogens.
