Overview


This position supports the Business Analysts team, responsible for performing as a business analyst and Scrum master on various projects/product teams at Rotary International. You will have the opportunity to interact with various business groups and capture requirements in the format of user stories. You will be working with a cross functional team of diverse staff at Rotary headquarters, assorted project delivery team, and remote developers and testers in our India Office. Your contribution will serve in an efficient delivery of the development and testing effort.  


 


You Will Have



  • Bachelors degree

  • 5 or more years of work experience as a business analyst

  • Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC)

  • Agile development practices

  • User Story grooming and estimating

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Managing medium to large size scrum teams

  • Familiarity to work with offshore teams

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Technically savvy to be able to run SQL queries , test  Restful services, test frontend technologies.

  • Have good negotiation and presentation skills to work with development and business teams.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong problem-solving skills

You Will Be Responsible For


Planning



  • Conducts interviews with business stakeholders to understand business requirements for future efforts.

  • Works with business stakeholders to document business cases and develop associated value statement including ROI, IRR, etc.

  • Represents IT, along with Architects, at project planning meetings (JADs)

  • Coordinates and consolidates estimates of technology-related efforts for inclusion into larger project estimates



Business Analysis



  • Models current state business processes, as required

  • Analyzes current state business processes and identifies opportunities for improvements

  • Designs future state business processes, as required

  • Coordinates product/project team meetings in order to elicit requirements from stakeholders

  • Translates business requirements into groomed user stories

  • Coordinates and consolidates accurate estimates for groomed user stories



IT Delivery



  • Runs the IT track for large, high-profile, multi-product/platform engagements

  • Leads IT delivery teams consisting of internal and 3rd party, off-shore and on-shore resources

  • Directs user acceptance testing

  • Coordinates meetings of technology resources and assorted other product/project team members to maintain forward progress of IT track to achieve project milestones



Communications



  • Communicates clearly and succinctly with internal stakeholders, vendors and 3rd parties

  • Communicates regularly with product and project managers on progress of IT efforts



Vendor management



  • Assists in the coordination of RFI/RFP efforts for technology vendors

  • Assists in consolidating RFP responses for business analysis

  • Supports coordination of technology vendor selection

  • Supports coordination of necessary meetings with internal subject matter experts and signing authorities to maintain forward progress during negotiation process



Mentoring



  • Shares best practices and promotes knowledge sharing amongst team mates



Training



  • May aid in the creation of business policies and procedures

  • Advises on the development of the business training curriculum
