Associate Systems Analyst - SAP Basis Administrator

Amgen is seeking an Associate Systems Analyst - SAP Basis Administrator to join Global ERP (GERP) team based in Tampa, Florida.

The incumbent will be responsible for successful implementation and support of GERP platform consisting of SAP and non-SAP systems. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to collaborate with development, security teams to deliver, operate and continuously drive fundamental technology improvements in GERP platform by working closely with Architects, AMS support teams to efficiently deliver Amgen's Global ERP solutions in a 24X7 regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience installing and configuring, monitoring and supporting GERP platform that includes SAP ECC (SoH), ATTP, GTS, GRC, BW, ATC, Gateway, PO, Portal, GIS, Redwood, SAP Cloud Platform and third-party add-on software components
  • Implement support packages, kernel upgrades and other lifecycle activities of SAP products
  • Support and implement system and platform automation capabilities using Solution Manager, LaMa, TDMS, and ChaRM
  • Hands-on technical experience with database utilities such as HANA studio/cockpit, MaxDB Studio for growth trends
  • Responsible for executing daily operational activities related to GERP platform including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem determination resolution
  • Manage and execute periodic system/client copies, refreshes, and scrambling in non-production environments
  • Implement continuous improvements to SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM)
  • Good working knowledge with User Experience Management and Cybersecurity tools for SAP and non-SAP solutions
  • Experience in managing users & roles in HANA and MaxDB systems
  • Unix administration experience to support high-availability cluster solution for SAP systems (load-balancing, disaster recovery etc.)
  • Follow and enforce GxP compliance, data governance, and security policies as they are applicable to GERP platform
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

Or

Associate degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of SAP Basis administration experience including at least 1+ years of HANA and MaxDB admin experience
  • Proficient in managing SAP and non-SAP systems on RedHat Linux
  • Experience in landscape maintenance, transport management, performance monitoring of SAP systems both on-prem and cloud
  • Background in SAP migrations and S/4 is a plus
  • Strong understanding of DevOps/Agile methodologies within SAP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
