Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about Human Resources and keen to take the next step in their career with a growing HR team and company. This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, who enjoys troubleshooting and being the go-to person for HR related topics, who is at ease with technology and comfortable working in a professional and fast paced environment with all levels throughout the organization. The ideal candidate should also be eager to learn and enthusiastic about continuously improving and evolving our HR function.

The Associate will report to the US Head of HR and gain exposure to all facets of HR.  They will work closely with the HR team to cover the US organization and provide accurate and timely HR support to foster and promote a positive employee experience.  They will support the implementation of HR solutions and initiatives, as well as support the day-to-day functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for first-line HR inquiries across all aspects of HR to assistant managers and employees with company policies and procedures, responding accurately and thoroughly to questions from the HR inbox, assisting in the resolution of issues, partnering with external providers as necessary and escalating issues or complicated requests to other HR colleagues
  • Process and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data in HR systems and employee files in compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Support day-to-day operations and HR transactions including terminations, leaves of absence, new hires, transfers, relocations, immigration, employment verifications, audit requests, data requests, unemployment requests, etc.  
  • Responsible for data management and report generation for various processes including RFPs and management requests. Provide metrics and reports to identify business problems and/or support business processes
  • Assist with HR processes including performance management, recruitment, benchmarking, compensation, promotion and separation processes
  • Partner with HR team members on initiatives and projects including training, diversity equity and inclusion, and company integration
  • Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, creating rubrics, collection of interview feedback, new hire approvals and paperwork, and system automation, where possible. Assist in reviewing applications and sourcing candidates for open positions
  • Conduct I-9 verification for new employees in NY office and provide oversight for the process in other locations
  • Maintain manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential and operate in compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.  Build relationships with employees throughout the firm and provide proactive HR support
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve the HR offering to the organization, which can include efficiencies, programs, and systems. Help with automation and streamlining of processes
  • Ensure HR intranet is up to date and content for employees is easily accessible
  • Complete other duties to support Human Resources department and company, as assigned

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources laws, functions, duties, and willingness to learn more
  • Strong integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive and personal information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent self-starter with high level of motivation and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to always meet the highest of standards
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible to adapt with changing priorities
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and manage expectations of key stakeholders
  • Proactive and solutions oriented with intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of HR systems a plus
