Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Talent Engagement and Development is responsible for People and Performance efforts, specific to the development and execution of initiatives focused on employee engagement, recognition, development, and special P&P projects. This role is also responsible for supporting and enhancing P&P communications efforts to the employee population.

Primary Responsibilities:

Engagement

  • Leads Viewpoint Employee Engagement efforts, including administration of all lifecycle surveys (onboarding, exit and annual employee experience)
  • Analyzes results from employee surveys and develops communications to share results within People & Performance (P&P), executives, and other stakeholders, as necessary
  • Collaborates with the business and P&P leadership to design effective response programs to employee feedback

Communication

  • Develops P&P communications and promotional strategies to raise awareness and educate ACADIANs on P&P initiatives (including bi-monthly newsletter)
  • Maintains the P&P Dashboard to creates transparency with Executive Management Committee (EMC) on key P&P metrics
  • Partners with the corporate communications team to further embed ACADIAs culture through ongoing employee communications

Rewards and Recognition

  • Provides the strategy and execution of ACADIAs employee recognition programs administered by P&P, including peer-to-peer recognition (Trailblazers) and rewards program (Peak Performer)
  • Communicates and maintains Peak Performance budget with EMC

Talent Development

  • Supports the execution, development and facilitation of new hire orientation, Exploring ACADIA
  • Creates a variety of development solutions including instructor-led courses and e-learning modules, often incorporating a blended approach to delivery.
  • Facilitates innovative and dynamic training sessions to small and large groups of varying seniority

Employee Events

  • Establishes the strategy and executes employee engagement events, across all ACADIA locations
  • Prepares budgets and negotiates contracts with vendors
  • Manages and plans the execution of all employee events, including the coordination with vendors, stakeholders, speakers, participants, etc.
  • Tracks event performance and execution and makes recommendations for improvements

Special Initiatives & Projects

  • Leads the strategy and communication efforts for HR Communities of Practice initiatives (i.e. Diversity & Inclusion, Women at Work, Flexible Work Arrangement proposals, Employee spotlights)
  • Supports the migration of employee systems (intranet to workplace)

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelors degree with at least 8-10 years of training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working within a pharmaceutical sales organization strongly desired. Must be proficient with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentations (PowerPoint). Requires prior experience negotiating prices and managing contracts and ability to develop strong working relationships with vendors.

Must Possess:

  • Superior facilitation and consulting skills
  • Event planning skills
  • Experience in engaging multiple business partners and stakeholders and driving to alignment and action; along with experience in planning and managing large, cross-functional efforts.
  • Disciplined self-starter; resourceful and able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a fast-paced environment with shifting objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and managing work of external vendors.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% overnight
  • Prior experience with curriculum design, development delivery, facilitation, and maintenance as well as delivery of company-wide training programs required.
  • Certification or prior experience with learning curriculum and resources like DiSC, Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, Crucial Conversation, Gallup Strengths and Situational Leadership, a plus.

Scope:

Provides to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Establishes own operational objectives and work plans with senior management review. Selects methods, techniques, and evaluates criteria for obtaining results. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of functional area objectives and their impact on, and interaction with, other functions within the organization. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
