The dual role of Associate Director, Career Services & Business Bridge is a first-of-its-kind position at the Tuck School, working both in MBA career services and in the school's flourishing Business Bridge program. During the academic year, the associate director will advise MBA students in finding internships and full-time jobs, primarily in management consulting. Then, in December and during the summer, the associate director works in the Business Bridge program, which provides undergraduates from liberal arts, science, and engineering backgrounds with a comprehensive business curriculum taught by world-class MBA professors. The associate director will manage the Bridge Associates team (current Tuck MBA students who coach and advise Bridge undergraduate students) and provide career advising to Bridge program participants. Advises full-time MBA students in finding internships and full-time jobs, and manages Business Bridge program student advising, according to Tuck's mission, strategy, and institutional priorities.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

1. Envisions, develops, articulates, and implements plan for achieving MBA career services and Bridge program student advising goals and priorities; engages with MBA and Bridge students, employers, Bridge faculty, Tuck and Bridge alumni, and fellow professional colleagues to anticipate, identify, and address challenges; evaluates progress using data analytics, particularly student feedback and internship/job placement metrics; and updates goals and priorities with direction from career services and undergraduate program leadership. (5%)
2. (a) Career Services (during MBA program academic terms): Advises MBA students one-on-one and in groups exploring career pathways, assessing and articulating professional skills and qualifications, writing and updating rsums, accessing and utilizing job search resources and networks, identifying internship and job opportunities, preparing for internship and job interviews, evaluating interview feedback, and negotiating job offers; strengthens and sustains employer relationships; advises student clubs; updates activities in career services systems; and manages other activities associated with students' career advancement. (45%)
2. (b) Business Bridge (December, June, and July): Trains, and supervises Bridge Associates (Tuck MBA students who coach and advise Bridge students), ensuring they perform according to program values, meet or exceed performance objectives and standards, and model Tuck's commitment to diversity, inclusiveness, and equity; schedules, coordinates, and communicates with Bridge Associates on curriculum, student presentation preparations, and general program expectations, including career development, tutorial sessions, homework, and exams; serves as curriculum specialist and faculty liaison to advise and mentor Bridge Associates on course content, assignments, and student projects; and provides to Bridge participants career advising services similar to those provided to MBA students. (20%)
3. Contributes ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, events, communications, and other activities with MBA career services and Bridge program implications. (10%)
4. Collaborates with career services, Bridge, and other Tuck colleagues in conceptualizing, co-managing, and completing shared projects and programs. (15%)
5. Gains and applies knowledge of and shares insights into industry areas of interest to students and other pertinent trends and innovations through market research, participation in peer networks and associations, and attending and representing Tuck at conferences, seminars, and speaking engagements. (5%)
