    Sodexo is currently hiring for an Area General Manager in the exciting and growing Denver market. This position will be based at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical center in downtown Denver. 

    Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center (P/SL) provides state-of-the-art, complex medical care in the heart of Denver's Uptown neighborhood. Our 680 bed hospital and emergency room treat patients from all over the Rocky Mountain region. We offer a range of services, including pediatrichigh risk pregnancyheart care and weight loss solutions.

    Our full-service1.1 million sq. ft. facility also offers a Cancer Center distinguished by the Commission on Cancer as a Center of Excellence, with the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Center in the Rocky Mountain region. P/SL holds centers of excellence designations in neonatal intensive care, spine and joint care and bariatric surgery as well as stroke certification and level IV trauma.

    Our Health Care Environmental Services/Housekeeping teams work to direct housekeeping operations at health care client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of hospital staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and patient satisfaction.

     

    Are you the experienced Environmental Services/Housekeeping Manager we’re seeking?

     

    We are looking for a candidate who:

    • is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a health care housekeeping system;
    • has in-depth knowledge of Sodexo ES systems and processes including TRAKKAR, UOS, Gold Check, ENGAGE and black light inspections;
    • possesses strong leadership skills and has the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
    • has 3-4 years previous custodial or housekeeping management experience in a hospital or healthcare environment;
    • has the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management;
    • has experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;
    • has experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards;
    • is proficient with computers and other technology;
    • has experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations;
    • has strong financial acumen and budget management experience

    • Responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
    • Provides a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
    • Works with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
    • Effectively manages the Unit Operating System

    Position Summary

    Functions as the in-unit leader for multiple accounts and/or contracts within a defined geography. Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of a multi-site.
    Key Duties
    - Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources.

    -  Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals – Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.

    -  Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system.

    - Maintains Quality & Company Standards – reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.

    - Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.

    - Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention
     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 5 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
