  1. Accounts Payable

    1. Sort through incoming mail and match up AP receivers with invoices.

    2. Review invoices and support documentation for appropriate approvals and backup.

    3. Code AP invoices with appropriate ledger account.

    4. Coded invoice into AP system.

    5. Check generation and distribution.

  1. General Accounting Functions

    1. Accounts receivable, credit, payroll, fixed asset accounting, etc.

    2. Preparation of monthly financial statements.  This includes posting journal entries to computer, verification of account balances and analysis of accounts.

    3. Preparation of year-end audit schedules.

    4. Cost Accounting system maintenance and cost reporting and analysis.

    5. Weekly and monthly management reports.

  1. Lean Manufacturing Initiatives

    1. Will embrace Richards Industries Lean/Continuous Improvement ideas and vision

    2. Will follow 5s principles (Sort/Set/Shine/Standardize/Sustain) to keep work areas clean, organized, and visual.

    3. Keeps work area organized at all times. This includes but is not limited to storage drawers/cabinets, along with personal items.

    4. Employee will participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives including kaizens, layout events, practicing 5s principles and other lean programs

    5. Employee will need to spend 5% of their time on Continuous Improvement initiatives. This will include weekly 5s activities, Lean events and other tasks that relate to Continuous Improvement.

S- Collect timecard data and process payroll with outside payroll company.


O- Learn and understand the procedures for performing payroll.

          Health Insurance, etc)



 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



  • Four year degree preferred.



 


LICENSES, CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATIONS



  • N/A



                              


SKILLS, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES



  • PC capabilities, especially in Excel. 

  • Above average analytical skills.
