Stockton University seeks applications for a 12 month professional staff position in the Nursing program to be appointed at the level of Academic Fieldwork Coordinator.

The nursing program serves over 250 students and is composed of a four-year pre licensure BSN program, a 15-month accelerated BSN program, a MSN program focused on adult gerontology primary care, a post NP masters certificate program, a BSN to DNP and post- masters DNP program. Programs are divided between the Manahawkin Instructional Site and the Galloway campus. Program expansion is anticipated in the near future.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator will serve in the following ways at Stockton University:

  • Manage administrative and data management tasks for student clinical placements
  • Collaborate with program faculty on aligning clinical placements according to course requirements and accreditation standards
  • Act as a clinical liaison between nursing program faculty and clinical site personnel
  • Coordinate and arrange clinical sites for student placement for undergraduate students; assist with graduate student placements
  • Conduct clinical site visits
  • Assist faculty to account and track resources for student clinical lab experiences
  • Cultivate and expand clinical site resources
  • Interact with fieldwork coordinators in other disciplines
  • Collaborate with University contract/legal staff and serve as the affiliation agreement liaison between the University and clinical placement sites
  • Attend Nursing Program meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Program, Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, and the Provost and Vice President

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed in the state of NJ as registered nurse
  • BSN degree
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience as a practicing nurse
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and database management
  • Knowledge of regional healthcare facilities
  • Ability to outreach and engage with clinical partners
  • Demonstrate leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Recognize the needs of the nurse practitioner and advanced level nurse in clinical placement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSN degree
  • Two or more years of clinical experience in a variety of settings
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations in accordance with FERPA laws
