Description **Job Description:**

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.


Responsible for driving innovation in valuation methodologies used across credit card risk strategies. Performs more complex analysis using both quantitative and qualitative information to come up with resilient strategies that maximize profits while mitigating risk under stress case economic conditions. The role requires a strong understanding of credit card business and ability to co-ordinate cross functional teams from Finance, Marketing, and Strategy owners. Understands risk models and translates them for business partners considering both upstream and downstream impacts. Builds relationships with external agencies. Reviews and analyzes trends, population distributions, and recommends strategy enhancements working closely with strategy owners. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management, and the utilization of core leadership behaviors.

**Required Skills & Experience**

• Proven analytical ability and problem solving skills as demonstrated through 5+ years related work experience

• Knowledge of and hands on experience using database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as SAS, SQL

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)

• Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for development, validation, implementation, and documentation of credit risk and/or marketing business strategies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong presentation and organizational skills

• Ability to collaborate, manage, and expand relationships across the organization

• Financial acumen to understand P&L drivers and its application to business strategies

**Desired Skills & Experience**

• Master’s Degree in Finance/Economics/Statistics or related field

• Previous credit experience and knowledge of credit policies for consumer or small business lending.
